Veronica Espinel – Beauty reflects in Kindness
My best moment was when I truly became clear that I could go as far as my desires could take me and that I was my only limitation.
I am passionate about helping others through my work and I realized that this is how I get all the motivation I need to keep going.
BEAUTY IS REFLECTED IN KINDNESS OF THE HEART
The very first thing you feel when meeting Veronica is warmth. There is a very special energy around her that makes everyone feel at ease when you meet her. She is not only a successful business leader, but she’s also a great support to her local community on causes that matter.
She was born in a small town in Ecuador where people coexist in harmony and living in community is possible. These aspects of growing up were imperative as a child because that is how Veronica learned to empathize with the needs of others.
Veronica established her residence in the United States only 7 years ago and started to further her specialized her studies in business, aesthetics and beauty. Along the way, becoming a savvy business woman through various endeavors.
Now with the great satisfaction in the level of excellence achieved at Red Market Miami located at the Bal Harbour Shops, Veronica is truly living her passion.
Veronica, what do you attribute the basis of your core values?
I grew up in a very loving family, I truly believe that was the basis of my spiritual formation and core values. I always relied on my skills and my effort to forge a profession and apply it to the workplace with ethics and enthusiasm. I feel this is the reason why today I’m committed to activities of a social nature.
Having a sense of family outside my own is something that deeply fulfills me; the time I share with someone who needs a hand is truly rewarding.
As a child did you have dreams that match your reality today?
It’s not that I wasn’t able to envision my current life; but as a child I wasn’t clear that I would be assisting others through what I do. However; helping people and contributing to making their lives better has always been within me.
The beauty industry has been a natural path for me. Women always trusted me with giving them tips on how to make them feel pretty and that is a great feeling! I just love that!
The beauty industry is challenging, what were the main reasons you decided to be in it?
There is so much about the beauty industry I love. The opportunity to be a positive influence and support for women and for them to see the best in themselves is really is the main reason.
The emotional impact beauty and wellness have on my clients is immensely gratifying to me, and I get to see it everyday, I cannot ask for more. Miami is a great City, I feel very fortunate to be here where life has allowed me to make a home for myself and my inseparable companion and inspiration, my son Paulo. He is the reason for everything I do.
And just like in any industry in a growing City, yes there are tough aspects. But when you are driven, consistent, and passionate about what you do, nothing can stop you!
Being successful comes with many responsibilities. What were the challenges you had to overcome to ensure a balance between family and your business?
I married and became a mother at a very young age. After my separation I was on my own; I went through my fair share of hardships and had many obligations. I knew I had to succeed for me but especially for my son, that motivated me and kept me on the right track.
It was challenging for me to maintain balance in the early years, but now that I look back, I know every difficult day I went through was absolutely worth it.
As a young woman entrepreneur, do you see yourself becoming an advocate for beauty and women empowerment through your business?
Absolutely! Beauty is not only about how you look on the outside. Beauty reflects in kindness of the heart; I strive to provide the tools for women (as well as men) to feel confident to project their inner qualities and to shine!.
Social media is a big distraction and makes it easy to get lost in comparisons, envy and despair. I believe extremes are dangerous and we must work on ourselves as much in the inside as we do in our external looks.
Could you share with our readers, what are you currently doing to support your community?
Through my business I get to meet a lot of amazing people involved in wonderful efforts in different arenas. Together we are constantly finding ways to collaborate and partner with these individuals and their organizations.
This year we have supported The Adrienne Arsht Center, The Little Lighthouse Foundation and The Jack Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, amongst others.
I have been personally involved with these organizations for several years. As I grow, I find myself devoted to causes that primarily involve support for the arts, children’s education and issues that directly affect women.
