My story is about being a Woman in a Man’s World of Business. Marilyn Monroe once said: I don’t mind living in a “Men’s World” as long as I can still be a Woman there.

AI – Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence is here. Easy and fast for any business. Face recognition, object tracking, emotions tracking and more from the highly talented and educated team of QuoraCar.com

When you want to start a new business what do you think you need the most – to do, to know, to have? Many people would say “I need capital to start” or “I need to be smart” some would say “I need to work hard”. They all would be correct. It also depends on the type of business of course.

In my opinion, in order to start and develop a successful business, build a team of professionals and manage your time efficiently, you need to have communication and management skills. Because even if you have the capital to hire employees, you need to first have the knowledge to lead them and transfer your vision and core values of your business.

I have a Master’s Degree and I enjoyed a very privileged education during my time of studies, so I developed a lot of common sense. However, It didn’t save me from making mistakes. In the beginning of my entrepreneurial career my biggest challenge was to find professional and reliable people who would keep their promises, and to be honest, once I hired a company who got payments upfront for the marketing and sales of our product and the company never delivered the work they promised. After consulting with an attorney I was told that based on a contract structure we signed, there was nothing we could do and that probably this company had defrauded others many times before. As a result, our company lost money. I was lucky that it happened to me and my loss was relatively small. I learned my lesson.

What’s the main difference between being an office employee vs a business owner?

Going from being an employee to becoming a business owner requires a 180 degree mindset change. Most employees are done working at the end of their shift and that means they are done for the day. When you own your company you are never completely disconnected from your business, because the moment you stop monitoring and overlooking the operations, it will slowly roll out to trouble.

I learned from my mistakes as I started my first business. I didn’t even know 10% of what I know today and I am sure I still have a lot to learn. But I never regret my decision, not one single time.

I always wanted to have a business. At a young age, when I was still a student, I wanted to do something interesting, intellectually challenging and modern. Something WOW! I tried the stock market. It was very interesting but very stressful as well, but I learned patience. When you see your investment losing value every second, you learn to be patient enough not to exit at the bottom, so you wait until it goes back up. But the waiting is tough.

My search for something inspiring, clean and good for the planet got me into my eco-friendly business called MyECOPlanet. I built and started this company from the ground, and until today, I still have it and manage it.

I finally found something interesting, intellectually challenging and modern. I found something WOW! It is AI – Artificial Intelligence by QuoraCar

Maybe everything I have done and learned before was a preparation for this stage of my life and career. I feel that I found something that I was looking for all my life. At QuoraCar we built our team with highly professional people. Each one brought to the company their best qualities and knowledge. I brought my experience as a business management and business developer and my knowledge on team building and social skills.

Our technical team is built of highly educated mathematicians, IT engineers and programmers with PhD’s and Master’s degrees. Their passion for AI (Artificial Intelligence) helps us to stay on top of the industry innovations and successfully use new technologies to help our customers to embrace their business with those innovations.

I am not involved in the tech or engineering part of the business, but I know how my team does it and I know how it works. My expertise is to explain it to a non-tech person, like another business owner on how these technologies of AI can benefit and enhance their businesses.

I found the balance between being a woman in a men’s world and working with men. We benefit each other. I don’t participate in the technical part of our business. I need “my guys”. “My guys” are too scientific and too genius to think about business structure and strategies. They need me for that.

It doesn’t mean we don’t face problems with business strategies, with our customers or with each other. We just learned to work them out.

Any advice to women thinking to start a career in Tech?: You need to enjoy what you are doing. If you love what you do, success will come along.
Everybody wants to live on top of the mountain but not everybody knows that all happiness and self-development comes while you are climbing on it. Love the process!
